Description

Located at the foot of Princess Hill (Bukit Puteri), the design of this palace is a blend of modern and traditional architecture with a hint of French influence on its tall shuttered windows.

Standing proudly overlooking the vibrant Kuala Terengganu waterfront, The Palace was constructed during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin III in 1897. What sets this palace apart is its use of a mixture of limestone and clay, strengthened with coarse salt, egg white and honey as its main building ingredients.

Maziah Palace has been the venue for royal celebrations, royal receptions of local and foreign dignitaries, royal weddings and conferment of titles.

How to get there:
The palace is located at the foot of Bukit Puteri (Princess Hill), adjacent to the Terengganu River, enroute to Pasar Payang.
